Doing the Work

I am a strong believer that you can only take your clients as deep as you are prepared to go yourself.
Over the past few months and years I have been doing some very deep personal work.
Last year I completed a 6 months programme in Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Maté and Kiyumi, which included bi-weekly sharing circles, education workshops and a 6 day psilocybin-assisted retreat.
I also finished my third and final year of Somatic Experiencing training, a body-based therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine to help people release and resolve trauma stored in the nervous system.
And this year, I commenced training in NARM, a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Laurence Heller to address the impact of complex trauma, particularly early relational, developmental, and attachment trauma.
The work has been challenging and confronting at times. Not only are you learning new skills, but you are doing the work for yourself.
It has necessitated taking some time away to process and integrate (including 15 months in SE Asia!!).
And now I am returning with gifts. With more wisdom, more capacity, more connection, and more heart.
This is the work.
