Happy Diwali

Happy Diwali. I spent a few months in India during my mid 30’s and it left a lasting impression on me. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, symbolising the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. In today’s polarised world it can be easy to ignore the nuance that exists. Part of my ongoing journey has been in exploring my own shadow parts. By bringing these into the light, it has helped me see both the external world and my own internal world in a much much more rounded way, and to find a bridge between the two, not only for myself but for my clients too. As I look back over these pictures I was so innocent. For us to let the light in, we also need to experience our blind spots. We can be blinded by the light and the darkness.
